Thanks

First and foremost, I have to thank the Beaufort Park Hotel, Mold, which sponsored my entry into IM Wales and also led me to the The North Wales Chrysalis Trust – the hotel’s primary charity and the charity for which I raced.

Thanks also to Austria Tourism and Carinthia Tourism for spotting a little editorial potential in having a journalist race at IM Austria and granting me free entry waaaaay after the race had officially sold out.

Also, thanks to my most awesome parents who have always supported me and continue to do so, in spite of probably thinking I’m a lunatic as the challenges get harder and more harebrained. Same goes to the rest of my family.

Friends, whether your support is in the flesh, electronic, telephonic, telepathic or beer-based…you all know who you are and you’re all wonderful. Sorry for all the times I’ve cried off early due to AM bike rides.

There are many more people to thank…completing Ironmans and triathlons is often seen as an amazing individual feat but it’s not. Every finish line I reach is thanks to the efforts of tens of others, from cycle groups to work colleagues, race organisers to massage therapists. Cheers.
